The Pyrite Sun's were found in coal mines, surrounded by Black Slate.  It is a difficult process to clean these so we could see their natural beauty.  They are around 300 to 350 million years old. There are two schools of thought on what these are.  Some say that they were sea life (Sand Dollar) that had fossilized and the fossils were replaced by Pyrite while others say that they grew in a type of radiating Pyrite crystal to form a circular pattern.
